Universität Paderborn
Paderborn

The NHR center at Paderborn University is hosted by the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing (PC2). It promotes interdisciplinary research in parallel and distributed computing using innovative computer systems. As part of the NHR, PC2 operates high-performance computing systems providing infrastructure and services for academic users in Germany.
Key Expertise and Profile
- Atomistic simulations in physics, chemistry, and materials science, as well as optoelectronics, quantum photonics, and scientific machine learning.
- Development of massively parallel methods, algorithms, and numerical techniques for heterogeneous computing architectures, and energy-efficient computing using FPGA-based accelerators.
PC2 is embedded in regional and national competence networks, including the Atomistic Simulation Center, the NHR Center for Computational Physics, and HPC.NRW.
