Application Support
Coordinated Application Support and Expertise Across the NHR Network
Although the centers have specific areas of focus within academic disciplines, application expertise is spread across several centers. To ensure you receive the right answers, NHR consulting services are coordinated across centers, and each discipline has a single point of contact.
Our Support in the following Research Fields:
You can contact our support directly, or join our weekly Q&A Sessions, monthly Q&A Sessions with a special focus or our quarterly Introductory Seminar.

Atomistic simulation is used in many scientific disciplines, such as biology, physics, chemistry, and materials science. The basic methods are the same, and a virtual Atomistic Simulation Center has been established at NHR, which offers specialized support, among other services. The scientific support in the NHR Alliance consists of post-doc level scientists that in addition to the scientific field also are experts in using high-performance computing systems.
You can contact our support directly, or get to know the activities of the virtual Atomistic Simulation Center.

Computational Life Science covers a wide range of research areas, including basic research, medicinal analysis using secure computing and AI, and simulation approaches. Support for life sciences focuses on two main areas: simulation and data-intensive research. Through collaboration among the centers within the NHR Alliance, users benefit from a broad pool of expertise, more than any single center can provide.

Computational physics spans many orders of magnitute from astrophysics over atomistic simulations to particle physics and more. The NHR centers PC2, NHR@SW, NHR@ZIB, NHR@KIT, NHR@FAU offer focussed support for researchers in computational physics, like scientific support for debugging code optimization/porting, algorithm development, job optimization, and workflow configuration.
You can contact our support directly, or get to know the activities of the virtual Computational Physics Center.
